Situation?

A short time ago, I was in the following situation: working to correct a part of my thesis, I had to find the passage of a work which contained an analysis of the concept of communication situation. By starting a research in the notes that I take with Tinderbox, the passage in question appeared at once at the head of the suggestions proposed by my favorite application. That might seem insignificant. But when one must seek a particular note in a file that contains many thousands notes, the difference with a manual note-taking is considerable. Je me trouvais il y a peu dans la situation suivante : travaillant à corriger une partie de ma thèse, il me fallut retrouver le passage d’un ouvrage qui comportait une analyse de la notion de situation de communication. En lançant une recherche dans les notes que je prends avec Tinderbox, le passage en question apparut aussitôt en tête des suggestions proposées par mon application préférée. Cela n’a l’air de rien. Mais quand on doit chercher une note en particulier dans un fichier qui en comporte plusieurs milliers, la différence avec une prise de notes manuelle est considérable.
